Katie Gregson-MacLeod turns old resentment into something stronger on "Teenage Love"

Scottish singer-songwriter Katie Gregson-MacLeod returns with "Teenage Love", a deeply personal new track that looks inward and revisits emotions that have remained beneath the surface. Ian Berryman, Joel Potts and Gregson-MacLeod wrote it, with production from Josh Scrarbrow. The track translates a complicated feeling into an intimate piece of songwriting.

The song is a tribute to the angry side of Gregson-MacLeod, venting a resentment that had been brewing for over two years. The song explores what happens when a younger self's feelings still linger and demand to be heard. Resentment is difficult to acknowledge, particularly when it's tied to earlier life experiences, but "Teenage Love" explores that emotional environment with reflection. The result is a song shaped by the process of making sense of feelings that weren't always easy to face in the moment.

Katie Gregson-MacLeod adds a thoughtful new chapter to her songwriting in "Teenage Love." It's a song about looking back and not flinching from the messy emotions that come with that, taking old resentment and turning it into something honest, reflective, quietly powerful.
