Mae Muller embraces weakness on New Single "Breakaway"

Mae Muller returns with "Breakaway," a deeply personal new song from the London-based singer-songwriter that captures a time of uncertainty and turns that weakness into a powerful creative turning point. "Breakaway" was written by Muller and producer Henrik Michelsen, and was born out of a time in which the singer-songwriter felt lost as an artist and overwhelmed by the pressure that came with newfound independence.

"Breakaway" is the complicated relationship between weakness and strength. The song explores what it's like to live with uncertainty and learn that being open doesn't make you weak. Weakness can be a source of personal power,  especially when paired with a determination to keep moving forward.

"Breakaway" balances the emotional weight of being lost with the possibility of something freeing on the other side. That mix gives the song a feeling of movement, emotionally and creatively. The story of its inception gives "Breakaway" the feel of something more than a one-off. It marks a moment of transition for Muller, a time when pressure, uncertainty, self-expression, and newfound confidence collide.

"Breakaway" by Mae Muller turns a difficult time into an honest creative statement. "It's a song about weakness without surrender, independence without isolation, and that through doubt even the beginning can be something new.
