MF Tomlinson makes the weight of time beautiful in "Blink and You'll Miss It"

London-based singer-songwriter MF Tomlinson has returned with "Blink and You'll Miss It," a deeply reflective tune that tackles one of life's most universal experiences, aging. The track explores how time can change how we see who we were, who we are, and everything in between.

"Blink, and You'll Miss It," co-written with Gary Barber of London electro-rockers Is Tropical, channels the emotional weight of a moment when perspective shifts. As the first song on the album, it drifts down into its beat seamlessly from "We Are Still Wild Horses," giving the feeling of being carried toward an inevitable realization.

The song is about looking down from a great height and suddenly seeing the full distance traveled. The person we once were can feel impossibly distant, and yet those earlier versions of ourselves never quite disappear. Every experience, every change, every moment has shaped the person standing here now. This makes the song more about acceptance. MF Tomlinson transforms the complex feeling of aging into a meditation on memory, identity, and the accumulation of a life. "Blink, and You'll Miss It" knows that moving on doesn't mean leaving it all behind; sometimes it means bringing it all with you.
