Why Don’t We hit pause on the rush of Llfe with new single “Slow Down”

Why Don't We released a new single, "Slow Down." This time, the band is more reflective and wants us to relax and be in the moment. The band keeps making music that sounds both old and new, so this release feels familiar. Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson, Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery, and Zach Herron wrote "Slow Down," and you can tell they are close friends.

You can tell that the chemistry is there not only in the writing but also in how well the song flows. Corbyn Besson told his fans directly how excited he was. I've been playing this one over and over for the past few months. I really like this one, and I hope you do too. That kind of personal connection makes the mood before the first note plays.

The track has a little bit of alt-rock nostalgia in it because it uses a sample from The Smashing Pumpkins' famous song "1979." The sampling doesn't change who the band is, it makes them more unique. Old fans will know it, and new fans will be able to enjoy a full, spanning sound. The group does a good job of keeping things in balance.
