Bishop Briggs unleashes emotional truth on “Blood From A Stone”

Bishop Briggs dives into emotional wreckage on the new single “Blood From A Stone,” a deeply personal release that transforms lingering pain into something powerful and freeing. Co-written with close friend K.Flay, the song wonders about the lasting imprint relationships can leave behind long after they’ve ended.

The artist on the song’s inspiration stated, there’s something disorienting about the realization of how one can infiltrate every part of your being. The song has that emotional depth. It’s about how relationships can build us up and make us feel strong, but can also leave scars that continue to shape us into the people we become years later, in modest ways.

Buried emotions resurfaced when Briggs began writing songs with K.Flay. The springboard for a song that doesn’t shy away from ache, fragility, or emotional exhaustion was what she calls an unopened wound. It fully embraces those feelings and lets the tearing and aching of the spirit be right there in the lyrics.
