A. G. Cook, Charli xcx and Kylie Jenner blur fiction and fame in a striking new music video "Residue"

A. G. Cook, a London-based producer and visionary, takes another step into the film world he's been discreetly developing with the release of "Residue." The song is the third and final to be released before "The Moment (The Score)," his planned soundtrack album for the A24 mockumentary. "Residue" has a beautiful music video created by Aidan Zamiri that gets people talking. It features Charli xcx and Kylie Jenner, two celebrities whose cultural weight adds depth to Cook's growing narrative universe.

Cook wrote and produced "Residue" all by himself. It feels less like a single pop song and more like a scene from a bigger drama. The movie stars Charli xcx, Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Hailey Benton Gates, Isaac Powell, and Alexander Skarsgård. It blurs the lines between fiction and real life. Kylie Jenner has a little part in the movie, which makes her appearance in the "Residue" video seem more planned than random. The "Residue" video also leans toward that middle ground where performance, persona, and pressure all meet. Zamiri's direction keeps things calm and under control, allowing the Moment's weight to linger rather than going into too much detail. Charli XCX's participation gives the video an emotional anchor, and Jenner's presence gently highlights the broader picture of celebrity that the project explores. Nothing seems random; everything seems planned, put together, and full of meaning.

There are eleven tracks on "The Moment (The Score)," all written and produced by Cook. This shows that he is not only a producer but also the person who built the film's emotional structure. Charli XCX has stressed that the project is not a tour documentary or a concert film. Even though it's made up, it's the most true picture of the music business I've ever seen. That idea goes through "Residue," which feels like an echo of that truth: what's left behind after the show, the noise, and the expectations.

A. G. Cook doesn't just give us a taste of the soundtrack with "Residue." He also sets the scene for The Moment's release. It's a carefully placed piece that makes people want to sit with the suspense, the glamour, and the afterimage of ambition until the whole picture comes into focus on January 30.
